Posts from Indonesia
Recounts of my trips to Indonesia. I’ve been to Indo several times for hiking. My first trip was to hike Ijen (2,769 m) and Bromo (2,329 m). My second trip was to hike Rinjani – the second tallest volcano (3,726 m). My third trip was to complete the remaining volcano in Bromo National Park – Semeru (3,676 m). I am now left with Kerinci, the highest volcano in Indonesia (3,805 m), to complete my top 3. I did my Open Waters in Bintan! Hoping to dive (and hike) in Bali, Komodo and Raja Ampat, and explore Borobodur too.
- My Kerinci Experience: Tallest Volcano of IndonesiaMy thoughts and experience hiking the tallest volcano in Indonesia at Padang of Sumatra. Kerinci is my latest volcano summit attempt, after Semeru and Rinjani.
- Mount Semeru: Highest Peak of Java ExpeditionMahameru Semeru, the third-highest active volcano in Indonesia, was a worthwhile climb. The summit overlooks Bromo, and we enjoyed the sunrise at Ranu Kumbolo.
